When opinions are given on homosexuality, the term “lifestyle” has been used. According to Dictionary.com, lifestyle is defined as “the habits, attitudes, tastes, moral standards, economic level, etc., that together constitute the mode of living of an individual or group.” According to Wikipedia.org, “in sociology, lifestyle is the way a person lives.”

Being a vegetarian is a lifestyle. A naturist adopts that lifestyle. Living “green” is a lifestyle. Homosexuality is not a lifestyle.

One is born a homosexual. No one would choose to be shunned, alienated, abandoned, emotionally abused, physically abused or murdered. No one chooses to live a life in fear. All anyone wants is to be unconditionally loved and accepted equally.

In the end, “the greatest gift is to love and be loved in return.”

England are champions of the world…albeit in the International Gay and Lesbian Football Association (IGLFA) World Championship.

The tournament saw the participation of 40 teams from England, United States, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Ireland , Iceland, Denmark, South Africa, Czech Republic, Sweden, Japan and Australia.

The decision has been taken in order to focus capacity and resources for the 2009 rainbow rampage. Naturally, the decision to prosponed an event is a disappointment. However, we feel that we have reached the best decision given the constraints of time in which we found ourselves operating. Before then, there were very few value-neutral words to describe people who experienced romantic or sexual attractions toward others of the same sex. Pejoratives such as “bugger,” “molly,” “sodomite,” or “pederast” were common, words loaded with condemnation and shame.
